The way that we engage in the capitalist economy is perverse and schizophrenic. Transactional exchanges have become aberration. Hence, when we look at what is sacred, godly or maternal, it can no longer be a pure thought. Every transaction has become tainted with rape, torture and brutality. To even look at the world with the purity of childhood requires us to acknowledge that we have become possessed by the privatization, capitalization and financialization of the neoliberal economy. To truly see the world for what it is requires us to exorcize the free-market from our being.
